Reporting into our Data and Insights Manager, we’re looking for an experience Data Analyst to support our revenue and category strategy efforts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing valuable insights and analysis to support decision-making and drive business growth.

This is an exciting role for an analyst to challenge the status quo and make tangible impact to delivering major opportunities in Category Strategy and RGM delivery. This role will see you working with Category and RGM stakeholders to interrogate data points and implications across our teams and prepare and present persuasive and compelling insights to shape our business decisions.

Some key responsibilities of this role include:

• Collect, analyse & interpret large data sets to identify trends, patterns and most importantly, opportunities!
• Use Power BI to create interactive, visually aesthetically & user-friendly reports and dashboards in order to communicate data insights to stakeholders
• Identify and communicate potential risk and opportunities for the business
• Be responsible for the automation and improvement of existing toolsets and processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness of data analysis and reporting

We are looking for a team player; someone with the ability to work well in a fast-paced and dynamic environment alongside a rock-star team.

While technically inclined, we will look to our Data Analyst to communicate key data and insights to our stakeholders. Therefore, strong communication skills are a must!

What core skills are we looking for?

• 2-3 years’ experience in data analytics, preferably in a FMCG or retail environment
• Strong skills in Power BI and experience creating interactive reports and dashboard
• Proven ability to analyse large data sets, identify trends and make data-driven recommendations
• Experience with SQL and/or other data extraction and analysis tools, as well as experience with automation and improvement of existing tool sets

While this role is ideally based at our Fanshawe St (Auckland) office, we are open to speaking with candidates based in Wellington.
