An opportunity has arisen to join the Lion Risk & Assurance (LRA) team as a Group Risk Manager, offering a dynamic hybrid work environment, reporting to Lion’s Risk & Audit Director.
We’re seeking an experienced individual with in-depth enterprise risk expertise, ideally with experience working in global manufacturing environments. You’ll have experience in using modern and leading risk frameworks, tools, and templates to facilitate the efficient identification, assessment, articulation, management, and reporting of strategic risks. Your ability to build relationships, business partner and influence peers and stakeholders at all levels, especially in high pressure moments is highly desirable.
Exposure to the Lion Group of businesses as well as multiple functions and stakeholdersThis is a unique role in Lion that offers an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to the global portfolio of Lion’s businesses, as well as our functional teams. Due to the breadth in this role, you will engage with a diverse cross-section of stakeholders, including senior executives and operational leaders at Lion and with our parent company’s (Kirin) Global Risk team. It is important for you to have a collaborative and consultative style as your success will be highly dependent on your ability to build trusting relationships with our people at all levels of our business.
Champion a risk management culture that promotes achievement of business objectivesYou will be responsible for leading, developing and delivering the annual Enterprise Risk work plan across Lion’s enterprise. You will be accountable in assisting business leaders identify and assess risks and recommend solutions to better manage those risks. This includes articulating our risk appetite with appropriate risk indicators, measures, and thresholds. You will be expected to provide analysis, insight, challenge, and advice that facilitates the achievement of business objectives within an appropriate risk framework.
Lead and support team to deliver successful outcomes
You will be responsible for overseeing team members who work with you, including coaching and supporting as they work with you and where applicable, through their career development. You are a person with strong leadership abilities and a proven track record in managing and facilitating risk activities across various business and functional teams. As a Leader in our business, you will be responsible for participating in the development and implementation of LRA’s functional strategy & initiatives. Working collaboratively with other LRA sub teams (i.e., Assurance, Business Resilience & Group Insurance) to align approach and share risk insights.
You will be required to produce regular and timely risk reports as an output of our work and Board papers to inform our independent Audit, Finance & Risk Committee.
