Internal Communications Specialist (IT and Cyber)

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate Communications professional to join our IT Team. This is a permanent position based out of our Sydney CBD office with the opportunity to work from home 2-3 days a week if desired. This position could also be full time or part-time.

 

In this position you will support Lion’s technology and cybersecurity maturity journey by providing awareness and education across Lion of initiatives and activities within Lion IT.

 

You will work closely with the IT leadership team, Cyber security, internal and external relations, and teams across Lion, while responsible for:

  • Promoting awareness of critical IT activities and initiatives.
  • Managing and delivering cyber training and awareness.
  • Contribute to building technology and cyber skills talent capability.
  • Develop and promote Lion’s technology and cyber education program.
  • Seek opportunities for broader technology and cyber engagement internally and externally.

 
Capability needed to be successful in the role includes:

  • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills as well as the journalistic ability to source stories from team members.
  • Strong speaking skills as you are likely to be called on to give presentations and present ideas. You must have the ability to understand and relay Lion’s goals and values to team members across the entire business
  • Good interpersonal and relationship-building skills to work with your IT stakeholders as well as the External Relations and P&C Teams.
  • Ability to contribute to tactical responses to emerging and existing cyber issues. Ability to apply analytical and problem-solving skills to determine which risks deserve prioritisation.
