We are currently recruiting for a Insights & Planning Manager to join our newly created Strategy & Planning team reporting directly into our Strategy & Planning Director.  This role is available on a 12-month fixed term contract and can be conducted on a hybrid basis of office and home working.
 

This role will lead Lion’s proprietary approach to Integrated Strategic Brand Growth Planning, partnering with Marketing Teams to develop brand growth strategies and lead the on-going excellence in consumer understanding connected to commercial outcome. We’re looking for a consumer obsessed individual who is willing to challenge to get the best outcomes from the strategic planning process

 

A day in the life

  • You will lead the brand growth strategy process, ensuring brand proposition, insights and growth drivers ladder to deliver the portfolio strategy.
  • Drive consumer understanding connected to commercial outcomes principles throughout the marketing team.
  • Align and collaborate with the relevant teams on the use of all research in the development and testing of marketing, category and innovation programs
  • Manage a structured approach to the usage of agencies as strategic partners and/or specialist methodology/resources.
  • Lead insightful & actionable strategic Deep Dives on key issues and/or opportunities ensuring recommendations are clear & well supported with data & insight.
  • Engage and influence internal and external stakeholders; build, customize, and deliver solutions through forums (e.g., presentations, workshops, etc.) to achieve cross functional inputs and outcomes.
     

What you will need on day one

  • Demonstrated knowledge in market research methodologies, consumer insights, cultural insights, brand positioning, brand identity
  • Demonstrated ability to turn insights & intelligence into actionable strategies
  • Experience leading & influencing senior business stakeholders
  • Significant experience in building strategic agency partnerships
  • Passion for our consumer and how we can bring their insights back into our brand teams to influence the future of our iconic products
  • Confidence to lead and facilitate cross functional workshops
