In this truly unique opportunity, we are looking for an experienced Commercial Strategy and Planning Leader to work with our Commercial Leadership Team, to define and decompose the Commercial Strategy into executable packages of work ready for management and implementation as part of the 2025 growth strategy.
This role is a permanent opportunity reporting to our Commercial Strategy & Planning Director. With your new role based at our Dairy & Drinks head office, Docklands Melbourne Office.

In your new role you will be facilitating the Portfolio Management Review and Stage and Gate forums, this role also maintains the integrated plan and change heatmap for the Commercial portfolio of projects and ensure that projects are delivered within agreed timeframes and associated budget. Defining and embedding an agreed delivery methodology, setting management processes, monitoring project delivery, and completion of project-level reporting in line with the Governance and Methodology.
Key Responsibilities also include
Work with the Commercial Leadership Team to elicit the 3-5 year strategy and decompose this strategy into executable packages of work
Effectively facilitate and cohesively manage the PMR, Stage and Gate functions as they interact with the broader IBP cycle.
Effectively provide day-to-day management of the project’s strategic project management office;
Ensure compliance with project management processes and controls and proactively contribute to their improvement, evolution and measurement of their performance;
Work with Channel Managers, Project Managers, Change Managers and PMO Analyst/s to facilitate the creation of robust project plans and their use for effective tracking, reporting and performance measurement;
Develop and maintain a master schedule and program roadmap that accounts for risks and impacts
Ensure projects and programs are appropriately resourced and develop and maintain an integrated forecast of key delivery resource demand and capacity;
Proactively engage with the Finance team to deliver rigorous financial management, reporting and forecasting
Key to the success of this role is the delivery of high quality, effective project and programme services to the Commercial business at an efficient cost, within required timeframes and the positive engagement with sponsors and senior stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record working across Portfolio Management Review, Stage and Gate forums. You will also have strengths in building powerful business cases and know how to influence stakeholders at multiple levels.

Kirin and Lion announced on Thursday 26 November 2020 that they have entered into a sale agreement to sell the Dairy & Drinks business to Bega Cheese Limited (Bega).
We believe Bega, an established dairy and food company with more than 120 years of heritage, is well placed to drive the Dairy & Drinks business forward given its deep dairy capabilities and strong commitment to iconic Australian brands and the local dairy industry.
The sale is unconditional, including no further regulatory approvals required and is expected to be completed in early 2021.
