We currently have a rewarding permanent full-time opportunity in our Supply Chain team at Wetherill Park as a Dairy Technician. This position will be reporting into the Engineering Team Leader.
 

You will be responsible for developing the site capability in mechanical and electrical automation systems and will maintain plant equipment to deliver maximum performance at optimum cost whilst adhering to Safety and wellbeing, Quality and environmental standards. You will also drive the implementation of Lion Dairy & Drink’s (LDD’s) continuous improvement program whilst building. Please note that this is a rotating roster between 06:00 and 18:00 and you will be expected to work two weekends in four.

Specifically, you will also be responsible for:
 

• Supporting the implementation of the Asset care strategy for site Food and Beverage manufacturing/process/packaging equipment
• Supporting the Site in achieving KPI targets.                             
• Ensuring standards and quality of work are carried in line with safe engineering work practices, legal and food safety requirements
• Compliance to GMP, HACCP, Safety and Environmental (ISO 14001) standards
• Understanding benchmarking and implement plans for areas of performance improvement opportunities
• The timely Breakdown rectification and execution of Planned Maintenance tasks
• Production Team - Shift Engineering support                                          
• Adherence to escalation procedures and support when required
• The active transfer of knowledge and skills to peers and operations staff
• The full use of the LDD CMMS system                                       

Areas of capability:
 

• Relevant Trade Certificate and licences
• Experience in the processing and packaging in Fast Moving Consumer Goods industry
• Strong coaching and partnering capability to build effective cross functional relationships to influence positive outcomes
• Advanced structured problem-solving skills including root cause analysis
• Safety work practices (LOTO and Permit compliant)  
• Proficiency in CMMS systems and PC skills

What would stand you in good stead:     
     

• Fluid Mechanics and Pneumatics certificates
• Process improvement skills with analytical ability to fault find complex equipment         
• Maintenance, process improvements & corrective actions
• PLC fault finding and SCADA experience      
• Continuous Improvement Methodologies (Lean manufacturing etc)     
• Experience in building small-scale control and integration applications
• The ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals and P&IDs             
• Restricted electrical licence, EWP and MIG/TIG welding          
• Good Dairy GMP knowledge
• Mechatronics, Robotics, AutoCAD 
• Utilities experience – Refrigeration, Steam and Water treatment
