Senior Tax Analyst

The Lion Tax team currently have a 12-month fixed-term contract opportunity for a Senior Tax Analyst. This is a maternity leave cover contract, and is based at our Sydney Olympic Park office, York Street CBD office, and flexibly from home.

We are the largest brewer in Australia, bringing together four large and four small breweries across the country – from the iconic XXXX Brewery in Queensland and Boag’s Brewery in Tasmania to craft breweries such as Malt Shovel Brewery in Sydney and Little Creatures in Fremantle and Geelong. We also have Breweries and distribution channels in New Zealand, and a Little World Beverages arm which is focused on growing a portfolio of premium, crafted beverages in overseas markets.


The Role:

Reporting to an experienced Tax Manager, as a Senior Tax Analyst you will support the team in the delivery of all aspects of tax compliance, advisory, governance and management of tax risks and opportunities. 


While this role is focussed on direct taxes including corporate income tax, as part of a cohesive team you will also have the opportunity to develop and utilise your skills across a wide range of taxes, jurisdictions (including for example, the US and UK) and projects to support Lion’s exciting growth plans.


Profile Required: 

You will have a can-do attitude and leverage your technical skills to support continuous improvement through innovation and identifying new and better ways of working.  You will have excellent communication skills, the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment, the ability to manage multiple projects/timeframes and build strong relationships across the Lion business.  


This position would ideally suit a commerce/business/law graduate with (or undertaking) relevant post-graduate qualifications (e.g. CA/CPA, Master of Tax) and at least four year’s relevant work experience gained in a Big 4 or mid tier professional services firm and/or Corporate tax environment.
