Mechanical Trade - Dairy Technician

Our award-winning Salisbury site is seeking a Mechanical Trade - Dairy Technician to join the team. Reporting to the Reliability Team Leader you will maintain plant equipment to deliver maximum performance at optimum cost whilst adhering to Safety and wellbeing, Quality and environmental standard.

Working on a rotating shift roster across a 7-day period as the site technical expert, you will undertake planned and breakdown maintenance of mechanical systems across the site. Ensuring site standards for work and solutions are developed and adhered too and assisting with capital and process improvement projects.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Making Safety a priority & supporting a Safety-First Culture within the team
  • Timely execution of Planned Maintenance tasks and breakdown rectification
  • Providing timely engineering support to the production team
  • Supporting the implementation of OPEX Asset Care on the site (Production and Packaging)
  • Maintaining site hygiene requirements
  • Ensuring that safe work practices are adhered to at all times

Key to your success will be your mechanical trade qualification and exposure of working in a fast-paced environment such as manufacturing. A current forklift and driver’s license is mandatory couples with ARC/TIG welding knowledge of pneumatic.  A broad understanding of processing and packaging in FMCG and the food and beverage industry will be highly regarded.
