Financial Accountant - Treasury

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Financial Accountant to join the team. This is a 12 month maternity leave cover contract commencing in December 2019. The role is based across Sydney Olympic Park and York St and reports to our Treasury Reporting Manager.


The purpose of this position is to provide financial reporting, guidance and analysis with respect to completion of back office deliverables, maintaining quality and timeliness at all times according to business requirement. The position will ensure effective governance and reporting systems are in place to fulfil statutory obligations in relation to treasury.

Duties will include all accounting requirements in relation to treasury, including but not limited to month end reporting, master data management with respect to the treasury management system, transactional bank account management and continuous improvement. You will need to be agile to change and be comfortable working in a flux environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring and managing treasury settlements
  • Month end reporting and ad hoc analysis
  • Transactional banking account management
  • Supporting daily cash reporting and forecasting processes
  • Drive system, process and continuous improvement
  • Business partnering with our front office to drive business success
  • Mentor our offshore resources to drive strong processes

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Studying towards/qualified with a CA/CPA qualification
  • Experience in SunGard Integrity (or other treasury management systems) highly desirable
  • Have approximately 2-3 years Treasury officer or Treasury Accountant role will be highly desirable
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities and deadlines
  • Passion for Business Partnering and value ad

This position indirectly manages an offshore team in Manila, so you will need to be able and comfortable providing direction and guidance to these team members.


To be considered for this position, you will need to have experience in accounting and exposure to treasury will be advantageous. You will have a collaborative approach to business partnering and influencing stakeholders at a senior level.
