Little Creatures is seeking an Events & Marketing Manager to join our leadership team at the new brewery & restaurant in San Francisco! The Events & Marketing Manager role will include the organization, marketing, promotion, and execution of on-site and off-site events. These events will target consumer, corporate, trade and beer club audiences. You will also oversee promotional materials, social media, and the venue website, while concurrently working with the kitchen team and front of house staff to deliver professional and successful events!


Events

  • Build and maintain the annual calendar of events.
  • Create and deliver engaging venue programming.
  • Coordinate and plan all aspects of brewpub events including site inspections, and tastings with potential clients.
  • Monitor and maintain inventories and order as needed all event supplies and rentals.
  • Act as brewpub rep during events to include conducting tours. This includes all trade visits, tours, and luncheons associated with trade visits.
  • Prepares proposals, contracts, billings, and maintains event files, event profit, and loss statements and event post-completion reports.
  • Creates itineraries, timelines and communicates with clients, vendors and brewpub staff.
  • Acts as onsite manager during all events including supervision of set up, break down and closing duties of events.
  • Develop and maintain event costs, event tiers, and event promotional materials.
  • Ensures public and staff safety at all events through responsible alcohol service and compliance with health/safety regulations and Little Creatures Safety Culture.

Marketing

  • Markets brewpub and event department by participating in local networking events, trade shows, mixers, and offsite tastings.
  • Develops and cultivates relationships with key contacts at surrounding businesses to ensure they are aware of Little Creatures as a premier offsite venue for events. 
  • Set up accounts with various platforms that promote event rentals.
  • Creating and managing all event rental marketing materials.
  • Development and implementation of a dynamic venue social media strategy.
  • Update the website to reflect new offerings and availability for future events.
  • Monitor social and other web-based platforms for customer activity.
  • Engages followers and fans on social to ensure they are acknowledged.
  • Additional tasks include- acting as back up to brewpub staff when needed, responsible for closing brewpub when needed, act as back up for processing daily deposits.

People & Culture:

  • Deliver Lion keys for hospitality to train and develop our people.
  • Mentor team members both technically and culturally.
  • Deliver on engagement plans for hospitality.  

Skills:

  • Strong event planning and organizing skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and delegate.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Solid commercial acumen.

Knowledge:

  • All aspects of successful event planning, implementation, and management.
  • Understanding of world-class service and hospitality standards.
  • Knowledge and passion for the Bay Area hospitality industry.
  • Social media platforms.
  • Customer Record Management systems.

 

Experience & Education

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, or one to two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Food Safety Manager Certification. 
  • Certified Meeting Planner (CMP), Meeting Planners International are preferred but not required.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required.
  • Photoshop or Indesign required.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Brewpub and San Francisco restaurant industry experience a plus.
  • Able to lift and carry up to 50lbs. and to stand for extended periods of time.
