We are seeking expressions of interest for multiple positions across Manufacturing. The roles report to the relevant Area Leader and Shift Co-Ordinator’s.

These roles are based at our Cheese site at The Heritage in Burnie. These are full time permanent positions. 

This is an excellent opportunity for the right person to learn new skills and be a part of the team in the Manufacturing department.

Roles: Varied roles across areas of Operators in the Manufacturing department. Shifts vary depending on area and our customer needs and include day, afternoon, night and weekend work. Areas at times may implement a 4 x 4 shift structure, with the expectation that successful applicants will be available to fulfil this shift requirements.

Cross skilling in Manufacturing is the way forward and all Team members will be rotated as required by operational demands.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring safety standards are met & maintained
  • Ensuring production volumes and quality requirements are met & maintained daily
  • Structured problem solving
  • Responsible for working with a diverse team and active participation in T1 & Team work
  • Sound understanding of the processes in Manufacturing– but not essential
  • Shift work & weekend work is expected as required to each task/area

 

We are looking for candidates with the following skills:

  • Sound computer skills
  • Always placing the customer at the Heart in everything we do.
  • Good problem-solving ability
  • An understanding of cheese making and packaging technology
  • Demonstrated appropriate behaviours in line with Lion values
  • Effective communication skills and demonstrated ability to work well in a team
  • Good understanding of Food Safety and OHS requirements.
  • High energy level, good interpersonal skills and trustworthy
