The Lion Dairy & Drinks Technical Team has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Factory Hygiene Coordinator to join our cheese manufacturing site at The Heritage in Burnie, North West Tasmania.

Reporting to the QR&D Leader - Cheese, the Factory Hygiene Coordinator will be responsible for driving, maintaining, coordinating and monitoring the site hygiene plan.

In addition, you will be responsible to drive our commitment to delivering quality products to meet our customers’ expectations as well as:

  • Validation and verification of Cleaning and Sanitation Programs.
  • Coordination of investigations to close out CAPA’s and incidents.
  • Trend and report to site on Quality Lead Indicators.
  • Ensure the Factory Environment is maintained to mitigate Food Safety and Quality issues.
  • Active participation in Risk Management for Factory Environment Activities
  • Support as necessary, coordination of the HACCP Plans and associated Pre-requisite Programs

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Relevant qualifications in food technology/science or microbiology desirable.
  • Previous exposure to the HACCP process and in quality or microbiological role within a Food manufacturing environment
  • Experience with Incident Investigation
