We have an opportunity to join the team in the newly created position of Finance & Enterprise Services Capability Director. This role will be based in Sydney reporting into our OD Director, and partners the CFO and Finance Leadership Team.

This role is responsible for developing the Capability Strategy for Finance, Corporate Strategy & Enterprise Services including the Deployment Framework and Deployment Plan. The role will lead a team to identify emerging thinking and insights on capability. It will also support the CFO & Finance Leadership Team in identifying future skills & capabilities required and leveraging the Lion learning eco-system to optimise the attraction, retention and application of these skills.

The key accountabilities are to:

  • Research externally to capture emerging skills & capabilities, as well as thinking, insights and global trends that inform capability activities
  • Champion continuous improvement in the way we deliver capability to ensure Lion is leading edge
  • Align the business behind one best way for capability that enables the delivery of our Finance and ES strategy
  • Develop learning programmes (and deploy where required) that fully optimise the capability resources and leverage the Lion learning eco-system
  • Integrate capability development sessions into the core business processes and rhythms
  • Engage and align Finance Capability Leaders to champion business alignment

To be successful you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in learning and development and best practice learning design
  • Preferably experience in developing and delivering capability within a finance function
  • Ability to scope, plan and manage strategy into execution
  • Ability to engage and partner multiple stakeholders at all levels in the organisation.
  • Demonstrated commercial and influencing expertise.
