Why work here?

At the heart of good times
It’s swapping business as usual for work that’s anything but usual – when it’s ok to be doing work at a pub, have a bar in reception and a beer allowance, but also ok if you don’t like our products. It’s about joining a family of big, iconic brands that bring everyone together to celebrate, connect and socialise. And it’s proving to the world that a real job can also be a good time.
Enjoy growth on tap
Give it a go and see where it takes you. That’s the attitude at Lion. Craft your own path across any, or all, of our brands and locations. And with new and interesting work on tap, you’ll get hooked on reaching higher with each new challenge. No matter your chosen career, for those thirsty for more, we have endless experiences to learn and grow.
We do the right thing
At Lion we give a XXXX, so together we are leading the way for things we truly care about in our environment, communities and workplace. You’ll belong in a culture that celebrates, respects and supports you for you. And when we do right by each other, we do right by society. Real progress starts right here, with us, so let’s do each other proud.
Win at work and life
Here flexibility is more than working when and where it suits – it’s empowering you to lead the career and life you want. Progressive flexibility, leave and wellbeing policies, backed by teammates and leaders who support the whole you, means you’ll thrive at every stage of your personal and professional journey. At Lion you don’t have to choose – here you can win in both work and life.

Hear from previous graduates

Being born and raised in Brisbane and passing by XXXX Brewery almost every day it has been a surreal experience working for and being a part of such an historical icon. The graduate program at Lion gave me an excellent and well-rounded view of the workings of a brewery. The first half was in the Engineering department where we learned about the maintenance of the brewery and got to be an active part of the team by working on a few projects. The second half was in the Packaging department where we learned the technical aspects of all the packaging equipment and even got to lead a team of operators for a while. At the program’s conclusion I was fortunate enough to be offered a permanent position here at XXXX as the new Engineering Data Administrator and Reporting Specialist!

There’s no better feeling than going out and seeing a product we developed up on the shelf or on the bar and being able to share it with your mates. At Lion we always try to put the consumer at the heart of everything we do and we try to cater for every different person and occasion, the most exciting part is crafting drinks that you and your friends want to order every time you go to the bar. Starting as a grad with very little knowledge of beer can be daunting but with each role I had a great leader and felt supported with everything I’ve done so far. We have never had a dull moment around here and with all the opportunities on offer I don’t think you can get bored. I would highly recommend Lion as a great place to work as the people, culture and values we work for are amazing.

The graduate program offered a comprehensive understanding of the brewery, from engineering to packaging, along with real-world project opportunities that honed invaluable problem-solving skills. Additionally, it cultivated personal development by challenging me to step out of my comfort zone within a supportive learning environment.
