Achievement Planning helps our people to set a clear purpose and direction each year, to make sure we’re all working towards a common goal. With specific goals set at the start of each year, our people are clear about what’s expected of them, so they can just get on with it! The beauty of having clear goals is that it’s easy to assess our team member’s performance at the end of year.
Development Planning is our people’s opportunity to take the lead and focus on what matters to them. Our team members create their own Development Plans, reflecting their passions, career ambitions, learning opportunities and well-being. And the best thing is, our leaders are there to support our team members to achieve their Development Plans.
We have strong growth ambitions for this business, and to deliver on our aspirations, we need to develop and retain extraordinary talent. Our Talent and Succession Planning processes enable our leaders to consistently assess our people for performance and potential. Talent and Succession Planning helps ensure we have the right people in the right roles at the right time. It also supports team members to know where they stand and is a good source of feedback which they can incorporate into their Development Plans.
The end-of-year Achievement Review is the opportunity to reflect upon the contribution of individuals and teams across the year. Leaders can then evaluate our achievements and determine reward outcomes that reflect our contribution to Lion’s success and growth. The Achievement Review also provides a valuable opportunity for team members to receive 360-degree feedback on their strengths and development areas. This feedback can then be incorporated into Achievement and Development Planning for the following year.
Team members have regular one-on-ones with their leaders, facilitating purposeful conversations to support our people’s Achievement and Development Plans. These conversations can really make a difference by helping to engage, guide, motivate, and support the performance of our people.
