IT Release Management Lead

Due to an internal movement we are now seeking an IT Release Manager to join the IT Service Experience team for an 18 month fixed term contract. This role will report to the Service Transition Leader and is based at our Sydney Olympic Park office. 

This role will plan and support the rollout of software / hardware changes, which includes coordinating server maintenance and the associated risk analysis of upgrades, patches and system optimisation in production and non-production environments.

You will facilitate project-level processes execution and drive continuous improvement to achieve high levels of predictability around release delivery and plan and enforce strict, cadenced release cycles/integration windows, maintenance windows, etc.

This is a key coordination role managing multiple stakeholders, projects and environments and will require an organised release management expert comfortable working with Cloud technologies to hit the ground running.

The successful candidate will also possess a blend of the following: 

  • Excellent planning and organisational skills within a large program portfolio
  • Understanding of IT methodologies such as ITIL, SDLC and Project/portfolio management
  • Proven experience with large scale and complex IT project change programs/releases within a complex IT environment
  • Understanding of SAP systems
  • Excellent communication and business partnering skills
  • Proficient change management and business readiness skills
